CARE GUIDELINES FOR YOUR SAMARANG FURNITURE
TEAK & MAHOGANEY
Maintaining our furniture is straight forward.
An occasional light application of a good quality furniture oil or beeswax will keep it in optimum condition.
The only real enemies of solid wood furniture are hot & wet objects such as crockery, tea & coffee mugs, vases & pizzza boxes !!.
Protect table tops & flat surfaces with mats & coasters. Avoid the placement of furniture too near a direct heat source to
prevent shrinkage & cracking.
Timber is a natural organic material & fluctuations in temperature & humidity will always cause it to shrink & expand slightly.
Some movement is normal.
Please make sure you clean every article on delivery. It is important to remove any residual stain or tinted wax left from the
manufacturing process. If not removed this may transfer to carpet, clothes or linen placed on shelves. Drawer liners are advised.
WOVEN ABACA & WATER HYACINTH
Gentle cleaning of our Abaca or Water Hyacinth furniture is easily achieved. Add a very small amount of clear detergent to a bowl of warm water, dip a soft bristled brush into the solution & carefully work over the soiled area, then dry with a soft cloth.
If necessary vacuum first using the soft brush attachment.
LEATHER
For leather items, an occasional wipe with a slightly dampened cloth will ensure your furniture remains in pristine condition.
A very small amount of clear detergent added to a bowl of warm water will remove most soil marks. Leathers are preconditioned & do not require further conditioning. we recommend leather is kept away from from any strong heat source to prevent drying out & discolouration.
UPHOLSTERED FURNITURE
Professional drycleaning is recommended with covers left on.
